A collapsible plate heat exchanger is a package of heat exchange plates that is located between fixed and movable plates. The package is sealed with plates and tie screws. Two systems of channels for the flow of working media are formed with the help of plates and rubber seals, which are installed on the plates.
Semi-disassembled heat exchangers are used when the phase state is changed by one of the working media.
Collapsible plate heat exchangers with a double wall are designed for technological processes in which mixing of media is absolutely unacceptable, even in emergency situations.
Wide-channel heat exchangers have a minimum number of contact points of one plate with another and are used when the working media is excessively viscous and frequent cleaning is necessary due to intense contamination of the heat exchanger.
